time to brush aside the cobwebs
introducing: speed poster extreemus! making up for lost time by posting multiple posts at the same time! behold, the great by-products of procrastination!!!!!!!
well, theatrics asides, on to the posts!
i was given the opportunity to work at the baramati fine arts college stall at a local rural fair. all i had to do was make charcoal sketches. i must say the response was better than i had expected. i was afraid that people would be too nervous to sit for a portrait out in the open like that, but surprisingly, a fair number of people volunteered. also, i didn’t think i’d be able to do portraits of infants, but i did quite a lot of those as well. despite none of them sitting still for more than 3 seconds.
can’t say i made a killing, but well, i did get reimbursed fully for my efforts
. of course , there was a lot more going on at the fair too. mostly a lot of stalls selling local crafts. and FOOD. wonderful food. and also an entourage of sorts of villagers in traditional wear and mock-ups of huts, stone wells, and the like. behold, a bull/ox/nosurewhat:
i just wish we had venky’s chicken near campus.
